Advanced Manufacturing Welder | Robotic & Laser Welding Specialist
Advanced Manufacturing Welder | Robotic & Laser Welding Specialist based in Langley, BC. $32/hour + full benefits. Join a shop where welders operate robotic laser cells and Cold Metal Transfer systems. We're investing in cobotics and expanding our fiber laser capacity—if you want to grow your skills alongside the equipment, this is your shop.
Your Growth Path (This Isn't Just a Job)
Year 1: Master robotic cell operation, fixture setup, and QC documentation
Year 2: Cross-train on Cold Metal Transfer and fiber laser welding. Begin robot path programming
Year 3+: Cell leadership, fixture design, or specialized process development
What We're Investing In
- Cobotics cells (collaborative robots)—expanding capacity
- Expanded fiber laser welding systems
- Continuous process improvement programs where YOUR ideas get implemented
You'll work with equipment that's constantly evolving. If learning excites you, so will this role.
Equipment You'll Work With
- Robotic IPG fiber laser welding cells
- Fronius iWave TIG with Cold Metal Transfer (CMT) for zero-spatter thin material work
- CRS & aluminum sheet-metal assemblies and jigs/fixtures
Role Details
- Location: Langley, BC
- Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (30-min lunch, two paid 10-min breaks)
- Environment: Focused, professional floor with modern equipment
- Compensation: $32.00/hour starting wage + full benefits
Pay Progression, Promotions & Training
- Pay raises are based on demonstrated welding quality, robotic cell capability, programming/process-improvement skill, reliability, and safe production scope—not automatic seniority or tenure alone
- This position is open to promotion into cell leadership, robot programming, QC, fixture design, or specialized process development as capability grows
- Training is supplied in-house for robotic cell operation, laser/CMT procedures, fixture setup, QC documentation, and cross-training on evolving equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, repeatable welds to spec (CRS & aluminum)
- Operate robotic welding cells—fixture alignment, basic teaching, path optimization
- Hold tight tolerances; complete QC checks and documentation on every lot
- Contribute to process improvement—we implement good ideas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
Who Thrives Here
- Welders with sheet-metal experience who want to level up with robotics and laser systems
- Problem-solvers who see "consistent results" as an optimization challenge, not just task execution
- Blueprint readers ready to understand both weld symbols AND programming logic
- Learners excited by new technology—we're upgrading equipment and need people who want to grow with it
Nice to Have
- Forklift ticket
- CWB tickets/certs
- Experience with robotic welding or automated cells
Hours & Culture
